Tracy & Tom's Wedding

Beamish Hall is such a superb venue and I'm always pleased to photograph weddings there. They've got a few different rooms for couples to choose from and we were in the Shafto Hall for the ceremony and the fantastic Winter Gardens for Tracy & Tom's reception.

It was a brilliant day with so many personal touches, which really make a wedding day even more special :)

Tracy very kindly answered these questions for the blog:

Venue - Beamish Hall

Dress - My wedding dress was from A J Bridal Wear and the designer was Ronald Joyce, I did have it amended quite significantly by a seamstress which was Tailored For You in Guidepost

Accessories - My jewellery was from Debenhams, my shoes were from Primark and I hand decorated them myself

Suits - The men's suits were from Waltons in Newcastle

Which of your suppliers would you recommend? - I would recommend my hairdresser - Julia from Kerry Wedding Hair, obviously you Simon as our photographer, my florist - The Design Studio, the suit hire Waltons were also fab and my cake lady - from Kelly Ann's Cakes was also fabulous so highly recommended :)

Honeymoon - We went to Tenerife on honeymoon

Favourite memory from the day - Besides being pronounced husband and wife (as a given)... I loved opening Tom's present to me on the morning of the wedding, the present was so thoughtful and everything became very real and all the emotions hit me at once, I got very emotional and cried with happiness. Tom's favourite memory was seeing me walk through the door, he said all his nerves left him at this point.

Advice to other couples - Whilst DIY techniques can be fun and can save a few pennies, don't take too much on yourselves. My main advice for the day would be for you and your partner to be sure to take ten minutes out to absorb everything and appreciate the day on your own for a little while :)
