There are some venues which just have the wow factor, and Matfen Hall is definitely one of them. The ceremonies take place in the Great Hall, and the bride has the sometimes daunting task of descending the staircase into the room with all the guests watching her arrival. Kerry took it all in her stride though, and it was great to capture her first glances across to see Mark waiting for her. It was a fantastic day and I got a much appreciated email from Kerry & Mark when they'd seen their photos - "Thank
you so very much for the photos. We love them and are over
the moon with them! :)"
Kerry & Mark very kindly answered these questions for the blog:
Wedding date - 24th July 2014
Venue - Matfen Hall, Northumberland
Dress - The Wedding Studio in Blyth. Designer: Alfred Angelo
Accessories - Jewellery- Swarovski. Shoes: Debenhams
Suits - Moss Bros (Hired)
Which of your suppliers would you recommend? - Flowers by Emerald Forest (Eileen Murray)
Honeymoon - Moraira in Teulada. (Spain)
Favourite memory from the day - Mark: Looking up at Kerry coming down the staircase.
Kerry: Taking a second on my walk down the staircase to
look at Mark standing at the fireplace.
Advice to other couples -
We
would say, be organised as soon as you can so you can
enjoy the build up and lead up to your big day. So many
couples seem to be stressed the week before as they still
have planning. Don't leave anything too late and allow
yourselves to just enjoy it all and take it all in
remembering what you both want and why you are getting
married.
