It's great to get back over to The Lake District for weddings every now and then, we started the business over there and relocated to Durham in 2007. The scenery absolutely can't be beaten, and Clare and Nick were keen to make the most of it as we went down to a local pier, and also to a rustic old barn they'd spotted nearby.
Their beloved pet pooch Noodle also made an appearance after the ceremony - important to get some photos with him as he's part of the family after all :)
Clare & Nick very kindly answered these questions for the blog:
Wedding date - 21st June 2014
Venue - Broadoaks Country House Hotel, Windermere
Dress - Bridal Couture of Altrincham
Accessories - Ebay! K Shoes which are from Kendal and where my dad worked for
many years so extremely delighted to find them and for £7.00 too :)
Suits - DKNY
Which of your suppliers would you recommend? - You were our only supplier, and yes definitely would recommend you
Honeymoon - The Maldives, absolute paradise
Favourite memory from the day - Clare - I could see everyone walk over to take their
seats for the ceremony from my bedroom window, this was the first time
I realised that they were here for us and what was happening!
Nick - Turning around to see Clare for the first time that day walking down the aisle
Advice to other couples - To involve family in the process. Our parents were given little tasks
which helped us out and also made them feel part of the day and
process. Do not compromise - you only do it once.
