My last wedding of 2013 took place at Inglewood Manor in Cheshire. Jen & Dan are a lovely couple and I was thrilled when they got in touch and asked me to photograph their wedding day.
November can be a difficult month weather wise, who knows whether we'll get snow, rain, sun, etc! Luckily the weather was good, and we were able to make the most of the fantastic grounds at Inglewood.

Jen very kindly answered these questions for the blog:
Wedding date - 30th November 2013
Venue - Inglewood Manor, Cheshire
Dress - Jen's dress was from a little bridal shop in Cuddington, Cheshire called
Lovia Bridal. Dan actually found the shop by driving past it on his way
to work, It was meant to be! The dress was by designer Sophia Tolli.
Accessories - I borrowed my mum's sapphire earrings as my something borrowed and blue.
My shoes were from Pink of London, they were a gift from the bridal
shop. I wore a hair comb from John Lewis that matched the details on my
dress.
Suits - We hired the suits from Slaters in Liverpool. They were really efficient
and nothing was too much trouble. Very good friendly service.
Which of your suppliers would you recommend? - We would probably recommend all our suppliers. They all delivered a high
standard. Our flowers were supplied by Paula at About Flowers, a local
florist in Widnes. The flowers were beautiful and were complimented by
all our guests. In the evening we had a sweetie buffet (How sweet it
is... Based in Manchester) and a caricaturist ( Shawn Smith caricatures
based in Blackpool) who were both brilliant and added so much fun to our
day. Our first official picture of us as a married couple was a
cartoon, and it has pride of place in our living room. We also would
100% recommend Simon and Ali. We wanted a relaxed feeling to the day and
we got that from our first email enquiry to Simon. The photographs are
beautiful, and Simons approach to photographing is so laid back and
effortless. Many of our guests didn't even know he was the photographer
and he was able to capture the real heart of the day. Thank you!
Honeymoon - We went to Windermere on a 'mini moon' break a couple of days after the
wedding for 4 days but our actual honeymoon is in April. We are going to
the east coast of Canada and we are travelling from Toronto, to Niagara
Falls then across to their Algonquin Park for a 3 day canoe trip. From
there we are travelling to Ottawa, Montreal and then Quebec City and
then we drive back to Toronto. We can't wait!
Favourite memory from the day - Jen: I have two favourite moments. The first was whilst all our
guests had tea and coffee at the end of the wedding breakfast, Dan and I
went and sat in the hotel lobby by the fire and hotel Christmas tree
and had a moment to ourselves and shared a pot of tea. Perfect!
My
second favourite memory was when all our guests who were staying at the
hotel had gone up to their rooms, Dan and I stayed up on our own and
just walked around the now quiet hotel and read the messages our guests
had written in our guest book. A great end to a perfect day
Dan: letting our guests get on with pudding whilst we sat on our own for a couple of minutes with a pot of tea.
Advice to other couples - We would probably say enjoy every minute of it, don't lose sight that
the aim is to get married and become Husband & Wife. If that
happens, then the day has been a success whatever happens. And if you
can, take a moment to be alone and absorb everything that has gone on!
