Ravenstonedale is a beautiful village on the edge of the Lake District, and we were really pleased that Bev & Garry booked us to photograph their wedding in October. The ceremony was brilliant, with the most animated vicar we've ever seen, who had plenty of gifts for both Bev & Garry including an umbrella hat, an inflatable kangaroo, a sun-shaped balloon and a naked chef hat! Great to see the tradition of the church gates being tied - and the village children loved the scramble to get the coins :) Bev & Garry run The King's Head (which we'll definitely call at next time we're over for a meal as the food sounds amazing!), and we headed there after the ceremony for the reception.

Bev very kindly answered these questions for the blog:
Wedding date - 13th October 2012
Venue - Orton Methodist Chapel & The King's Head, Ravenstonedale
Dress - Wedding Warehouse in Carlisle - Sincerity
Accessories - Garry's sister's tiara, covered the something borrowed
Suits - Greenwoods, Kendal
Honeymoon - Went to Langdale in the Lake District for a few nights straight after wedding, then going somewhere hot and sunny in January
Favourite memory from the day - The whole day was fab
Advice to other couples - Everyone told us to make sure
we spent time together as it's easy to get caught up talking to all your
guests and not your new husband/wife and we did. Also just to step
back throughout the day and take it all in. After months of planning,
one day disappears very fast...make the most of it!
