Carole & Simon were married at the fantastic Jesmond Dene House, one of our favourite Newcastle venues. The day was so much fun, and Carole & Simon even braved the drizzle to get some photos in the gardens.

Carole very kindly answered these questions for the blog:
Wedding date - 25th August 2012
Venue - Jesmond Dene House
Dress - My dress was from Darcy Weddings in Morpeth and the designer was La Sposa. Cant recommend Darcy enough - the staff made us feel so welcome
and comfortable and the changing area is lovely and spacious. Was made
to feel very special.
Accessories - I borrowed my mams diamond earrings and necklace that my dad had bought
for her in New York for her 50th birthday. Shoes were from Dune, a
bargain sale purchase.
Suits - Hired from Greenwoods
Which of your suppliers would you recommend? - ''Event Dressers" were great - good value table runners, table crystals
and balloons all delivered straight to the venue on the day so no
stress for us. Tait 2 Videography were brilliant - hardly noticed them
during the day and Tony and Cora made our guests feel very comfortable.
Honeymoon - We spent ten days in Dubrovnik in Croatia and loved it. A perfect mix
of relaxing by the pool and on the beach, great visits to the Old Town,
island boat tours and a trip down to Montenegro and the stunning Kotor
bay.
Favourite memory from the day - Just the fact that we had the biggest smiles on our faces the whole day, it was such a happy atmosphere.
Advice to other couples - Save earlier! And involve your guests in the day - we dressed
up Carole's uncle's car to drive us to the venue, a friend of
Carole's mam is an opera singer and sang as the guests were arriving, a
friend of Simon's sister was our florist and Carole's netball coach made
the cake! Not only does it save pennies, but all those personal touches
were really special.
