Nicola & Adrian's Wedding

First of all apologies for the delay between blog posts - we've been so busy in April & May we hardly had time to think, with 9 weddings, 11 meetings, 5 photoshoots and all the editing! It's absolutely fantastic to be so busy, but has meant fitting blog posts in has slipped a little. Sorry about that, and we promise to get back up to date soon!

Nicola & Adrian were married on yet another glorious April weekend. This was the third outdoor ceremony of the month, and we were lucky with the weather all day. We arrived at The Inn On The Lake at 10am to start the preparation photographs - with Nicola getting ready at the venue we were also able to photograph Adrian relaxing with friends & family before the ceremony. This is an absolutely superb venue for us, with both the grounds and the interior of the hotel having plenty of scope for the photographs.

We'd met with Nicola & Adrian in October last year for their pre-wedding meeting & photoshoot. Nicola was very keen on our relaxed and informal photos, and so we kept the posed photos to a minimum on the day. There was plenty of time for the guests to relax during the wedding breakfast and evening reception, and even have a game of rounders on the lawn! Adrian and his friends are keen cricketers, so it was taken quite seriously, but at the end of the game the points were added up, and the girls won!

After the rounders we all headed round to The Ramblers bar, for the evening reception. Nicola & Adrian's first dance was brilliant, and we got some great action shots!

We hope you enjoy looking through these photos, and we'll blog our May weddings as soon as we can.

Nicola looked absolutely stunning, the final touches just being added with a beautiful hair vine

A very proud brother Oliver with Nicola before the ceremony

Adrian watching Nicola walking towards him - it's great to be able to capture this moment, and an outdoor ceremony is great for this as we're able to move around more freely.

With the lads being keen cricketers this had to be done!

Walking on to the gorgeous pier on Lake Ullswater - you may recognise it as the pier made famous by the Mel Allen print

This is one of our favourite shots of the day with the light falling through Nicola's veil

Nicola enjoying the rounders - everyone got stuck in and enjoyed the game

Nicola & Adrian's first dance was superb, and we love this photo as it really captures the moment
