Pauline & Michael's wedding took place at The Royal County Hotel in Durham, possible our shortest wedding commute yet at a handy 5 minutes from home (our furthest this year is in Kent!). We'd met with Pauline, Michael and their son Ben a few weeks earlier for their pre-wedding photoshoot which meant Pauline and Michael were really relaxed having their photos taken on the big day.
We were lucky with the weather despite a few showers, and managed to get down to the riverside for some photographs. We always prefer shooting in natural light so try to get outdoors whenever possible.
We love this photo, Pauline's expression says it all
The happy couple with their son Ben
We spotted this door close to the riverside and had to get a few shots, the bright red gives a more contemporary feel to a traditional posed photograph
We used the natural light coming through the windows to get this atmospheric shot
The guests all made good use of the bubbles at the wedding breakfast - we love the colour in this photo
