Our first wedding of the year was at the fantastic Whitworth Hall in County Durham. Lia & Duncan had managed to organise the wedding in the very short timescale of 8 weeks, and everything came together really well on the day. We'd met Lia & Duncan a few weeks earlier for a pre-wedding photoshoot, which was great to get to know each other better, and for Lia & Duncan to become more comfortable in front of the lens.
We were lucky with the weather on the day, despite a few snow showers in the morning we managed to get outside for the large group photographs and a few shots of Lia & Duncan in the hotel entrance. The weather forecast the night before had been very bleak, and luckily we didn't get the snow which was expected.
We're back at Whitworth Hall for a wedding in August this year, where the weather will be completely different (hopefully!), and again for another in May 2012.

We love the speeches for capturing people's natural expressions, one of our favourite parts of each wedding day
Whitworth Hall has some great locations indoors for photographs, if we're not blessed with beautiful weather (which is often the case in this country!)
