This was an incredibly special wedding day for us, as Sarah is my younger sister. When Sarah & Jonny set their wedding date and asked us to do the photos we were really excited as we knew it would be a brilliant day.
Sarah & Jonny got married at the fantastic Crook Hall in Durham, which is a stunning venue. We'd gone down to the hall a few weeks before the big day for an engagement photoshoot and for a look around the grounds.
The focus of the wedding day was for eveyone to enjoy themselves in a relaxed setting, with minimal formality. So our style of "capturing the moment" worked really well here, and as most of the day was spent in the beautiful gardens of the hall we were able to capture people unawares, enjoying themselves.
The day started with some photos of Sarah getting ready at home, then we headed to Crook Hall for a beautiful candlelit wedding ceremony. After the ceremony we spent the rest of the day in the gardens, and enjoyed a very tasty "posh buffet" supplied by Epicurus of Newcastle. Luckily the weather was on our side, with the rain only falling when we headed inside for the speeches.
