Stacey & Gary's Wedding

Langley Castle is one of the most beautiful and atmospheric wedding venues in the north east. When Stacey and Gary first contacted us to ask if we could cover their wedding we were thrilled. The castle was built in 1350, has 7 foot thick walls, and is jam packed full of history. It's worth a look on their website as a luxury weekend getaway hotel, and the 2 AA rosette restaurant is superb.

We weren't blessed with good weather on the day, but the inside of the castle is great for photographs, with a spectacular staircase and window seats set into the castle walls. We got a few photographs outdoors, but we didn't manage our grand plans of tracking down the resident peacocks for some photographs! Stacey and Gary were brilliant to work with, and we're so glad they braved the rain for a few photos with the castle in the background as it would have been a shame to miss that opportunity. We'd be keen to cover more weddings at Langley Castle so please get in touch via our website.

With it being so dark in the castle we're lucky that our cameras cope well in low light conditions. We were able to increase the ISO on both cameras, without affecting the quality of the final photos. We have a Canon 5dMkII and a 7D camera, and love the amount of light these cameras can pick up. Here are a few photos from the day, for the full gallery please follow this link
