Ramside Hall is one of our most convenient venues, being a 10 minute drive from home! As we travel all over the north of england for our weddings, it's a novelty to only leave the house half an hour before we're due to start shooting! Ramside is a really versatile venue, with fantastic grounds. Sharon and Marc had chosen our Gold Package so we started with Sharon's bridal preparations at her mum's house, and stayed right through to the first dance.

We often ask our clients to talk between themselves while we work around them, we can then get much more "natural" shots

We love how the wind caught Sharon's veil at just the right time - for once we were thankful for the gusty English weather!

The evening reception kicked off with a set from
Funk Conspiracy, a superb band based in the north east. One of the best wedding bands we have ever seen, and we've seen a lot! Definitely worth a look.
We use minimal flash (if any) to try and bring out the atmosphere in our photographs, as that's our priority for the day. Capturing the day "as it was".
